We were called into this Project when the building renovation Works had been close to completion. The Client had then realised that there were serious site issues that required dealing with. The pool placemnt had also been allocated prior to our involvement, resulting in serious accessibility issues. A dining patio space was requested, & the Client's grandchildren wanted the reinstatement of a level lawn play area that could double as space for spreading of picnic rugs.
By a series of cut & fill earthworks, use of local stone to form naturalistic retaining walls, & selection of natural materials for paved surfaces, use of timber bollards that are to be left to weather to grey for pool barriers, & flowing gradients to the formed ground plane, a well thought out, soft & visualy unobtrusive response was achieved for a stunning site of great natural beauty
